Korea Hair Color Trend 2015

This year, Pantone has introduced Marsala as the color of the year for 2015. "Marsala is a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us in to its embracing warmth." mentioned by Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of Pantone Color Institute.

Shades of red is creating a lot of hype among young Koreans lately. Some of the shades which has been identified by various media includes; Burgundy, Wine and Maroon color.

These colors can be easily spotted on the window displays, racks and shelves when you stroll down famous shopping district in South Korea. Product mix varies from apparels to cosmetics, nail art to fashion accessories, you name it, they have it.

No doubt, hair color is also riding on the same trend. The easiest way to identify this color is to associate it with the color of Red Wine, a color that gives you warmth when you embrace it. Be a trendsetter and try these hair colors on your next visit to the hair salon! A good news for most Asians, especially for us who lives in a tropical country, this color goes perfectly well with our skin tone! The introduction of Marsala came knocking at the right time for the next biggest festive celebration in Singapore, that is Chinese New Year (CNY)! This festival is also celebrated by South Korean commonly known as 'Seollal' in Korean. As many Chinese believes that 'Red' is a lucky color for good luck during New Year, the popularity of this color skyrocketed as we usher in the new year!
